Charlie "AbsentPage" McKinley is a smasher who is well known for being one of the quickest Melee and Project M players to make his State Power Ranking in the United States. AbsentPage is also one of the best Fox/Sheik players in the Midwest, and is also the top smasher in Minnesota. He holds wins over 6 of the top-100 ranked players from 2016; Trulliam, Lovage, Eddy Mexico, Kels, lloD and KJH.
After first appearing on the MN PR in April of 2015 (ranked 6th), he earned the #1 rank almost exactly a year later (becoming the first player to take the top spot from Slayer in over two years), and has been ranked as the best smasher in Minnesota for the last 4 'seasons'. As of the June 9th, 2017 Minnesota Power Rankings, he is ranked first.
AbsentPage was mentioned by Peek&Co as one of the top 3 smashers from the 'doc kid' generation to look out for, along with Captain Faceroll and Zain in late 2016. This was also echoed by Hungrybox, who said that AbsentPage was a player who really impressed him at UGC. Tafokints stated that AbsentPage had "one of the best under the radar runs" after an impressive 25th place finish at EVO 2017.
