Kanto 2015 was a national Smash 64 tournament held in the Chuo ward of Tokyo, Japan by Takuro, the top Jigglypuff main in Japan. There were 103 entrants and it was streamed on Nico Nico. It is notably the first Japanese tournament with top North Americans in attendance, including SuPeRbOoMfAn from Canada, Mariguas from Mexico and Karajan from the United States. wario, the top Pikachu in Japan won the tournament, being his second national in a row. Like many other Japanese tournaments, there were no prize payouts. The tournament held pools followed by a single elimination bracket, resulting in two 3rd/4th place ties and four 5th/8th place ties.
