The '''Parasol''' item not only can be used as a weapon, but acts like a personal parachute, reminiscent of the parasol from the [[Kirby]] series.  
Peach leaps up into the air, holding her Parasol above her, at the apex of her jump, she will open the parasol and float down gently. The parasol does damage at all times of the animation.
Once in the air floating, control is similar to using the [[Parasol]] item.  If Peach has the Parasol item, she will use that item for the attack rather than her own.


*Can be used to float, even after 3rd jump. Fall by simply pressing down.
While floating, it is possible to move left or right via directional influence. If down is pressed, Peach will close her umbrella, fall at normal speed, and become helpless. Pressing up again will open her umbrella and allow her to float again, although altitude cannot be regained.


*When A is tapped, it does between 3-6% damage.
The move is based on ''Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars'' where, to leave her room without alerting the castle guards, she parachutes from her second story room using her parasol. A Parasol can later also be used as a weapon.
*When fully charged, it does between 15-24% damage.
*When dropped, it does 2% damage.
*When thrown at an opponent, it does between 7-9% damage.
*While open in the air, it does between 2-4% damage.
*When [[Up B|B+Up]] is used by [[Peach]] while holding the Parasol, her normal white parasol is replaced by this one.


The Parasol makes a poor throwing weapon, as it will open shortly after being thrown, eliminating all of its horizontal momentum.
The move returns in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]'', however, its appearance is based on Peach's Parasol from ''Super Paper Mario''.


It is one of five items to not make a return in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. These items include the [[Barrel Cannon]], [[Cloaking Device]], [[Flipper]], and [[Red Shell]].

Peach Parasol is Princess Peach's Up B move.
