Wario received a mix of buffs and nerfs in the transition from ''Brawl'' to ''Super Smash Bros. 4''. While his aerial speed and acceleration has been slightly reduced, he has been given multiple improvements to his recovery options to compensate. Many of his moves have extended lag, but deliver much more knockback, such as his new forward smash.
