::I think there's a good chance it is Kirby. The reference image has a lot of detailed spritework save for "Kirby"—if it was a normal enemy like a slime I'd imagine they'd at least put some shine on it, instead it is very simplistic like Kirby appears in Kirby's Dream Land.
