::Seeing as people have gone through the coding of Brawl, I doubt there's anything that no one knows about it, let alone an entire character that everyone's missed. Ivy could refer to Ivysaur, but [[Pokémon Trainer (SSBB)|Pokémon Trainer]] is available from the start so Ivysaur isn't a mystery character. I think your cousin's making it up.
