Vince is a tutor in the {{uv|Art Academy}} series who guides players through lessons on how to paint. Vince's appearance is based on {{iw|wikipedia|Leonardo da Vinci}}, and he shares his name with {{iw|wikipedia|Vincent van Gogh}}, whom he cites as an inspiration for his expressionist painting style.

Vince appears as an [[Assist Trophy]]. When summoned, he'll draw paintings each opponent two or three times, hiding them and dealing 2.4% damage to them every half second. Opponents that are afflicted by a painting will suffer triple damage from opponent attacks. Opponents can defend themselves from the constant damage by shielding. He could draw statues, tomatoes, seashells, cats, and kingfishers. It takes Vince two seconds to complete a painting, after which it will last four seconds. Afterwards Vince waits 1.5 seconds before starting a new painting.

Vince has a spawn chance of {{Fractions|38|2086}}. He cannot be summoned on the following stages in a standard versus match (applies only to the base form unless noted otherwise):

Vince cannot be summoned if the following items are active nor can they be summoned if he is active:
