::You totally missed my point about Link, by the way. First of all, the default name of the Trainer in Red and FireRed is Red. Second, the default name of Link in most Zelda games isn't actually Link; it's just blank. | ::You totally missed my point about Link, by the way. ::Third, and most important, you forgot that I said Link is referred to as Link on the Zelda Wiki even when he isn't referred to as Link unless specifically named as such. Pokémon Trainer isn't specifically called Red by Smash Bros., but is the same fucking thing as Red in the Pokémon games, so the article can refer to him as Red even though he isn't specifically called that by Smash. DoctorPain99 04:44, 29 July 2013 (EDT) | ::Third, and most important, you forgot that I said Link is referred to as Link on the Zelda Wiki even when he isn't referred to as Link unless specifically named as such. ::It's not so much the Zelda Wiki as Nintendo themselves saying it's Link. That's useless evidence too. The article cannot refer to him as Red unless it's under the idea of pure speculation. And no, it's not the same thing as the games. Because, as we know, in every Zelda game, the official Hero's name is Link. This is a stated fact by actual sources, not fan speculation. Brawl, the official website, Sakurai, and every official source refer to him as Pokemon Trainer specifically in Brawl. Unless you want to keep false information up, which I see why you want to, we have to remove the bad information. Also, we have a politeness rule, please calm down and don't swear at me. This is a civil conversation, not some unneeded bickering. | ::It's not so much the Zelda Wiki as Nintendo themselves saying it's Link. That's useless evidence too. :::You have continuously failed to provide evidence to demonstrate that this is false information. The only argument you have provided is that "It doesn't say he's Red". But he's still Red; the character is identical to Red in every way (and the trophy said he appeared in FR/LG, which basically confirms that he's Red and not some character that is only in SSB). Unless you actually have significant evidence to refute my claim and state why he is not Red, this discussion will continue to be pointless. | :::You have continuously failed to provide evidence to demonstrate that this is false information. :::Also, nowhere on this Wiki does it say we have a politeness rule. DoctorPain99 04:55, 29 July 2013 (EDT) | :::Also, nowhere on this Wiki does it say we have a politeness rule. DoctorPain99 04:55, 29 July 2013 (EDT) | ||
The official game and all official information call him Pokemon Trainer and 100% refer to him as Pokemon Trainer. There is no official information that says he's Red. You have not provided one shred of evidence as proof he is Red at all. You provided a coincidental point that he looks like Red. We do have a rule. "Keep your comments polite and friendly. It's always best to be civil, even if things get heated." So please stop overreacting. | The official game and all official information call him Pokemon Trainer and 100% refer to him as Pokemon Trainer. There is no official information that says he's Red.
