Symbol of the Smash Bros. series.
Universe Super Smash Bros.
HP 1,000 (no resistances or weaknesses)
Designed by Themselves

eXemplary Logic is the final bonus boss of whatever the current fangame of the month is. Once unlocked, they are fought on Final Destination.

True to their nature, X and L fight as a pair with very distinct roles. X is the brunt of the duo's offense, possessing most of the attacking moves and therefore being the one that usually needs to be paid more attention to. L supports from the sidelines, tending to hover away from the fight while delivering occasional boosts if not interrupted. The two units share health, so they cannot be taken out one at a time.

Initiating the fight will play a short cutscene where XL and the player's character do a bit of trash-talking, in a manner true to the style of that character's home series. The music played is also from the character's home series, typically the most grand and epic boss battle theme available; if the series is too retro to have one, the normal secret final boss music is used.

How to unlock[edit]

In order to unlock the battle versus XL, the player must clear every other single player mode with every character, including achieving a score of greater than zero for all untimed stadium modes.

Moveset[edit]

XL's moveset consists entirely of moves or mechanics from various other games represented in Smash Bros. It also may not even be complete, so watch it.

Name Damage Quotes Description
Barrel Roll StarFoxSymbol.svg 21% "I'm doin' it!"
"Yee-haw!"
"Rrrrroll up the rrrrrim to win!"
X flies into the bottom of the stage, causing it to roll over, dealing damage as the bottom half swings around the top. Difficult to avoid without being off to the side.
Bolganone FireEmblemSymbol.svg 26% "I control t3h ph1r3!!!"
"Death from below, you don't even know."
"龍拳!!!"
X summons three consecutive pillars of lava that appear below the player and blast upwards. Getting caught by one makes it quite difficult to avoid the subsequent ones.
Chance Time! MarioSymbol.svg "Chance Time!"
"Try your luck!"
"Chance...tiiiiime?!"
X and L both retreat into the background and so cannot be damaged as they produce three Dice Blocks. X hits the first and third blocks so that the first is the player's head icon and the third is XL's, leaving the player to attack the middle one to stop it. The player can control the outcome, but needs a fast enough attack to get what they want.
  • "10% ->": The player heals 10% and deals 10 damage to XL.
  • "<- 10%": The player takes 10% damage and XL heals 10.
  • "25% ->"
  • "<- 25%"
  • "50% ->"
  • "<- 50%"

If the player stalls for 10 seconds, the dice fly towards the player and explode, each dealing 10% damage.

Chaos Combo MarioSymbol.svgKidIcarusSymbol.svg 20% (sucked in), 10% (clones) "Bleh heh heh! Bleck!"
"That's no moon!"
"Nothing or everything? Why not both?"
X uses the Chaos Heart to open up a void, which sucks the player in. If the player is caught, they take damage and are propelled away. If not, the void then turns into a vortex and ejects a bunch of Chaos Kin clones, which move in straight lines for high knockback on contact.
Counter PokemonSymbol.svgFireEmblemSymbol.svg 1.3x "No sympathy!"
"It's a trap!"
"Wrongamundo!"
X sits still instead of attacking; there's no hint that anything is amiss aside from her simply not doing anything. If she is hit during this time, the counter is activated, and the player is all but guaranteed to take damage if it was a close-range attack. If the counter isn't triggered after 5 seconds, X shrugs and moves on.
Crazy Cars WarioSymbol.svg 14% "Vroom!"
"Honk honk!"
"Choo choo!"
X flies offstage as the microgame text "Dodge!" appears onscreen, before zooming back across the stage. The player usually has to jump to avoid this, but X might decide to jump too, or stop dead temporarily just as a mix-up. The mix-ups can be predicted based on what direction L is facing.
Dead Man's Volley ZeldaSymbol.svg 2% "Serves up!"
"Firin' the Ganon cannon!"
"Time to make a racket!"
X fires a slow-moving energy orb. The player can reflect it with any attack, which returns it to X, but X will try to reflect it back. The orb's damage and speed are doubled every time it is successfully reflected. Once the orb reaches 64% damage, X will fail to reflect it, and take the hit. However, if the angle of a move sends the orb towards L, it'll hit him instead, as he won't try to reflect it.
Drums of Sleep ZeldaSymbol.svg 8% (slap), 3% (shockwave) "Time for zeds!"
"Get some shut-eye, will ya?"
"Who doesn't love percussive maintenance?"
X summons a giant Goron hand to slap the stage six times, each one covering a third of the stage. The slaps are powerful meteor smashes, while the shockwaves put grounded players to sleep.
Endure PokemonSymbol.svg "Nuh-uh."
"rrrrrrrrgh"
"Didn't 'urt."
If the player takes the duo down to 0 HP with a move that does less than 15% damage, they use this move to remain at 1 HP, followed by becoming invincible and using a Trump Card.
Follow Me PokemonSymbol.svg "Stay on target!"
"Get over here!"
"Bring it!"
X waggles a finger at the player. For the next 20 seconds, the player is incapable of facing away from X, and can therefore only move away by drifting while in the air (and even then, only at half speed). In addition, L is not kept within view of the camera. This move is used if the player focuses too many attacks on L, so they cannot simply bash him and stop his shenanigans with little effort.
Grand Hammer KirbySymbol.svg 50% "Stop! Hammahtiem!"
"You've got one dimension too many!"
"Love the smell of pancakes in da mornin'."
X retreats to behind the stage and pulls out the Grand Hammer, levelling it up to stage 3 and pounding the center of the stage with it. Buries grounded opponents, meteors aerial ones so hard they're probably toast. Can be dodged with perfect timing, or avoided by jumping diagonally. If the attack misses, it produces two stars to either side that can be grabbed and thrown for 25% collateral damage. The stars last for 15 seconds.
Hyper Beam M MetroidSymbol.svg 1% (hits 1-29), 11% (hit 30) "azubedazubedazubedazubedazubeda"
"Ah see ya!"
"Beep beep I'm a shark!"
X fires a triangular, multi-coloured beam from her eye that sweeps across the stage and traps the player if caught.
Hyper Beam P PokemonSymbol.svg 30% "BeeeeeiooouuwwwaPOW!"
"Behold the old bold gold manifold!"
"Imma lazorin' mah pew-pews!"
X fires a ground-level horizontal laser that covers the entire length of the stage. It lasts just long enough that it must be explicitly avoided; trying to sidestep or hang on the edge will not work.
Incomprehensible Layer EarthboundSymbol.svg "Your understanding is flawed."
"None can comprehend this."
"Confusion awaits."
L sits in a charging pose and glows with a red aura. If he is not dealt 20% damage within 5 seconds of this, he casts the red glow over the entire screen. This causes both X and L to stop moving visually, but continue moving in reality, making it impossible for the player to tell where they actually are. This lasts for 10 seconds.
Jetstream Symbol of the Smash Bros. series. 25% "whooooooooosh"
"Insert ominous noises here!"
"INCOMING!"
X flies in from the background for major damage upon crossing the plane of the stage. The speed of the attack is the exact same as Master Hand's version.
Koopa Breath MarioSymbol.svg 1% every other frame (30% per second) "BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!"
"HEAAAAARTBUUUUURN!"
"SHOOOOOWTIIIIIME!"
X expels a stream of fire that is angled across the stage. Doesn't flinch, just tacks on massive amounts of damage.
Mike KirbySymbol.svg 10% (use 1), 20% (use 2), 35% (use 3) "Blah!"
"Yeeeeeargh!"
"CHESTO!"
Use 1: X yells into a megaphone, which hits in a straight line.
Use 2: X hollers into a desk mike, which hits in a cone shape.
Use 3: X leaps into the air and comes down with a stand mike before delivering a mighty blast of sound, which hits everywhere regardless of place or distance (and so must be dodged). Can no longer be used afterwards.
Monado Purge XenobladeSymbol.svg 5% "XL getting serious time!"
"Game over!"
"You must suffer more!"
X pulls out its own Monado and uses it to fire a large fast-moving homing green energy projectile. If it hits, the player loses all of their charge for any mechanics and special moves where the default is "uncharged" or "inactive", and cannot charge them nor any smash attacks until the effect wears off 15 seconds later. (Samus loses Charge Shot power, Wario's fart is zeroed, Shulk loses his current Monado Art and can't activate another, etc.)
Monster Pump PikminSymbol.svg 0% "MORE WATER!"
"so i herd you leik mudkipz"
"Go, dihydrogen monoxide!"
X fires a stream of water that has very high pushing power but deals no damage.
Polar Pound IceClimbersSymbol.svg 13% "I like shorts!"
"I see icy!"
"Freeze!"
X pounds the ground. If the player is grounded in any way, they are frozen for fixed vertical knockback.
Recover PokemonSymbol.svg "Health recovered."
"HP recovery successful."
"Vitality has been replenished."
L sits in a charging pose and glows with a blue aura. After 5 seconds, he heals the duo for 100 HP, minus whatever damage he accumulated during the charge (so dealing 20% damage during the charge means the move will only heal 80 HP). This move can only be used 5 times.
Reset Symbol of the Animal Crossing series. "GRAARR!"
"Keep your stinkin' future!"
"We've got to go back!"
X and L give off a slight twitch, instantly resetting their HP to whatever it was 15 seconds ago. However, this also resets the player's damage to what it was at that time, so a bit of strategy is necessary when deciding when to use it. This move can only be used once.
Sketch PokemonSymbol.svg "Ooh I like that, it's mine now!"
"Yoink!"
"I took your move, deal widdit."
X swoops at the player. The move copies the hitboxes from the last move the player used (including outgoing damage modifications), re-sized and re-positioned to fit. Sketch copies only the final hitboxes of a multi-hit attack and ignores melee hits of projectile attacks; it also wires the hitboxes so that the most damaging one is always the easiest to strike with. X will not use Sketch if the last move used didn't produce any hitboxes (e.g. Mewtwo's Teleport), and prefers to copy one-hit power attacks.
Skyward Strike ZeldaSymbol.svg 24% "100% chance of FUN!"
"This oughta charge yer batteries!"
"Feel the Valientium sting, dude!"
X raises a sword into the air, where it is shortly struck by lightning. X then swings the sword, producing a large electric shockwave that moves straight for wherever the player was. Not all that hard to dodge, but keeps the player stunned for so long on hit that it's almost a true combo into anything else.
Soul Read XenobladeSymbol.svg "Telepathy link established."
"The future has been determined."
"Evasion will now be trivial."
L sits in a charging pose and glows with a green aura. If he is not dealt 20% damage within 5 seconds of this, he casts the aura over X as well, and the two of them become immune to damage for 20 seconds, effortlessly dodging all hitboxes that come near them. Dodging will only interrupt their current move, which will continue executing afterwards.
Star Punch PunchOutSymbol.svg 100% "BOOOOOOOOM!!!"
"Don't that feel good?!"
"Right in the kisser!"
If X lands three consecutive moves without taking damage, she immediately uses this, which is a guaranteed one-hit KO. Once X has two stars, they appear above the duo's HP display.
Sucker Punch PokemonSymbol.svg 8% "Bop!"
"su-PRAHZ!"
"Gottapunchfast!"
X quick-punches the player. Usually only used at point-blank. Does fixed knockback.
Tattle MarioSymbol.svg "Identified."
"Tactics analyzed; adaptive shielding online."
"Shield may now be raised."
L scans the player, allowing him to deploy a shield that reduces incoming damage by 20%. Dodging the scan means the shield can't activate, but it's very quick to come out. Both units are shielded for 15 seconds.

Trump Cards[edit]

If XL is not finished off with an attack that does 15% damage or more, they remain at 1 HP and become invincible for the duration of one final attack. Once this attack is over, they do nothing but sit vulnerable for 10 seconds. If the player refuses to hit them one last time, they will use another one in an infinite cycle (with no repeats unless necessary). Any of L's continuous effects end once a Trump Card is used. If the player is incapacitated (e.g. broken shield), the duo do not wait 10 seconds and instead use their next attack immediately.

Name Damage Quotes Description
Blast-O-Matic Symbol of the DK series. 64% "I think it's time, so says my twin, just one more move, and then we win!" The duo begin circling around the player with eyes locked on. The instant the two are on perfect opposite sides of the player, they fire an energy beam between themselves that is a guaranteed KO. This occurs at a random time but is slightly telegraphed with a flicker of light and a slightly slower rotation rate.
Chain Attack XenobladeSymbol.svg 15%, 1%*20, 25%, 7%*7+41% "Metal Blast!"
"Monado Cyclone!"
"Glorious Meteor!"
"MASSACRE LOTUS!"
The duo fires four attacks in quick succession: a piercing ray of dull energy with massive freeze frames, a multi-hitting tornado that covers most of the stage and results in tripping, a summoned meteor with a large blast radius that stuns, and an eight-hit combo attack whose final hit obliviates the player if they were hit by the second or third attacks.
Elemental Plasms PikminSymbol.svg 10% "Do not think lightly of the elements of nature!"
"There oughta be something in here you ain't immune to!"
The duo summon a rain of golden plasma balls across the stage, similar to PK Starstorm in Brawl. Each individual blob has a random effect on hit and sends the player in a random direction between 20 and 160 degrees. Most of them are of the "safer" list of Normal, Slash, Flame, Electric, Water, Grass, Darkness, Magic, and even Coin. The slightly larger blobs are of more dangerous effects like Slip, Sleep, Stun, Bury, Flower, Reverse, Down, and Paralyze, and being hit by one of them sends a sparkling blob of Obliviate directly at the player.
Genesis Supernova PokemonSymbol.svg 151% "The laws of physics are ours to command."
"Feel the weight of your existence!"
The duo spiral around each other to form a DNA-shaped cage that follows the player. Once complete, it detonates with an unblockable one-frame hitbox that covers the entire screen. The timing of the weaving and the detonation is extremely variable, between one second to twenty seconds, but a distinctive flash lets quick reflexes dodge rather easily.
Lunar Termination ZeldaSymbol.svg 72% "You have waited for too long."
"A terrible fate awaits you!"
Majora's Moon falls from the sky, which crushes the player on impact. It's easier to dodge at the sides than the middle, which is why the duo attempt to push the player into the middle as it falls.
Maximum Velocity FZeroSymbol.svg 77% "Only our light can outspeed us."
"Time to bust through that sound barrier!"
The duo begin to fly at incredible speed towards the camera, dealing extreme damage on contact and looping back around for several passes. A spark of light is the only indication that the player must run or dodge to not get hit a split-second later. The duo make three passes a second with a total of ten laps each.
Mega Eggdozer YoshiSymbol.svg 88% "I will give you an egg."
"You 'bout to get shelled!"
The duo teleport into the far background and get into a Mega Eggdozer, which is launched towards the stage. The egg impacts the stage once and breaks, crushing the player if it hits dead-on and dealing lethal knockback otherwise. The egg's diameter is two-thirds the length of Final Destination and takes half a second from launch to impact.
Universal Reboot MarioSymbol.svg "Can you survive the beginning of the universe?"
"Ready to be blown into stardust?"
A vortex opens in the middle of the stage as all manner of space junk begins to be sucked in from offscreen. The junk does about 3% but can easily knock the player into the vortex, which grows slowly but doesn't end up larger than a Smart Bomb's max radius. After ten to twenty seconds, the vortex closes and detonates, which does no damage if the player isn't caught, but obliviates them if they are.
