'''The Big House 6''' was a national ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]'' and {{forwiiu}} tournament held in Dearborn, Michigan from October 7th-9th, 2016. It was the sixth edition of {{Sm|Juggleguy}}'s prestigious Midwest [[The Big House (tournament series)|tournament series]].

The competition was fierce for both games. In ''Melee'', the four active [[God]]s {{Sm|Armada}}, {{Sm|Hungrybox}}, {{Sm|Mango}}, and {{Sm|Mew2King}} were present, as well as all the other American top players such as {{Sm|Plup}}, {{Sm|Axe}}, {{Sm|SFAT}}, {{Sm|Wizzrobe}}, and {{Sm|PewPewU}}. Europe was also well represented with {{Sm|Ice}}, {{Sm|Professor Pro}}, and {{Sm|Android}} participating. The Big House 6 was notable for having high-level international attendees such as {{Sm|Rudolph}} from Japan and {{Sm|Spud}} from New Zealand.  It was also {{Sm|Leffen}}'s first tournament in the United States in over a year, although he ended up [[sandbagging]].

In ''[[Smash 4]]'', 27 of the 50 [[Panda Global Rankings#January 2015 - May 2016|Panda Global Rankings v1]] ranked players were in attendance, including the defending champion {{Sm|ZeRo}}, the [[EVO 2016]] champion {{Sm|Ally}}, {{Sm|Nairo}}, {{Sm|Dabuz}}, {{Sm|ANTi}}, {{Sm|Mr.R}}, {{Sm|VoiD}}, {{Sm|Abadango}}, {{Sm|komorikiri}}, {{Sm|Larry Lurr}} and many others. Unranked threats such as {{Sm|Kameme}} (who had recently placed 2nd at EVO) and {{Sm|Salem}} (who had made his breakthrough in the top echelon of players at [[Collision XIV]]) were additional contenders for 1st place.

The Big House 6 is the [[List of largest Smash tournaments#Overall|thirteenth largest]] ''Smash'' tournament of all time.
