'''Smashdown World''' was a {{forwiiu}} super regional tournament ''[[Project M]]'' regional tournament held in Paris, France on November 26th-27th, 2016. Some of the best European players, such as {{Sm|Mr.R}} and {{Sm|Sodrek}}, were in attendance. International guests included {{Sm|Kameme}}, {{Sm|ANTi}}, and {{Sm|komorikiri}}. {{Sm|Nairo}} and {{Sm|Larry Lurr}} were invited as well but ultimately didn't go due to miscommunication with the tournament organizers.

The {{forwiiu}} singles event was the highest-attended tournament in France, surpassing [[Epita Smash Arena 2]] in 2008. It was also notably the first ''Smash 4'' tournament in Europe that Mr.R failed to win, losing to Japanese players Komorikiri and Kameme for 5th place.
