It was the eighth installment of the [[Tournament:Smash Summit (series)|Smash Summit series]] for ''Melee'', and was held on June 13th-16th, 2019. Unlike previous Smash Summits, it was held at Beyond the Summit's studio facility rather than at the Summit Gaming House, and was closed to the general public.

==Players voted in==
The voting system received some minor changes. First, if a person votes for a player who gets eliminated, they will receive half of their votes back, and the votes can be used for other players until the voting ends. Also, the final two players who get eliminated have the choice of either taking a portion of the raised funds that they would have gotten, or be flown out to the tournament, where they can participate in activities and practice.
