*This tournament marks the first time {{Sm|Nairo}} has taken a set off {{Sm|ZeRo}} since [[MLG World Finals 2015]], and by extension the first time since the release of patch [[1.1.6]] over a year ago.
*Similarly, this tournament marks the first time ZeRo dropped a game in the Captain Falcon ditto, losing to {{Sm|Fatality}}.
*The Grand Finals featured a double champion bout. Fatality won Momocon in 2015, while Nairo won Momocon in 2016.
