'''GameTyrant Expo 2017''' was a national ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]'' and ''[[Super Smash Bros. for Wii U]]'' tournament that was held in Salt Lake City, Utah by GameTyrant from September 29th-October 1st, 2017. 

The tournament was notable for its large pot prize of $30,000 for both ''Melee'' and ''Smash 4'', which was among some of the largest pots in either game at the time. GameTyrant Expo was also very ambitious for its first year, hoping to have successively larger pot prizes in future years. Many players were encouraged to attend despite its remote location and its low experience, as the new tournament series was expected to be key to the growth of competitive Super Smash Bros. in general.
