EVO 2015 allowed [[character customization|custom special moves]] in ''Super Smash Bros. for Wii U'' by utilizing the [[Official Custom Moveset Project]], and was notably the last major tournament to use the project. The official game lineup for EVO 2015 was announced on January 20th, by Joey Cuellar, during a live stream on Twitch.tv, with Mike Ross as host. Notably for this year's edition was the inclusion of two ''Smash'' games on the official lineup, for the first time, with the return of ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]'' alongside {{forwiiu}}.
