This event was dedicated to popular [[smasher]] and streamer {{Sm|Nairo}}. In addition to singles and doubles tournaments, it also featured an in-person {{b|ladder|matchmaking}} called 'Naifu Wars' and a 'Waifu Wars' round robin featuring Nairo, {{Sm|ZeRo}}, {{Sm|CaptainZack}}, {{Sm|Pink Fresh}}, {{Sm|Twi}}, and {{Sm|Cosmos}}. A special modpack including custom character [[costume]]s and musics, which are a staple of Nairo's streams, was used throughout the event.

Nairo Saga is the first 2GGC event to honor a specific player, which was the tradition of 2GGC's predecessor [[2GGT]].

[[Naifu Wars: World War 1]] was a qualifier for this event.

*The "2GG Curse" continues as {{Sm|Nairo}} placed 4th at the event, losing to {{Sm|ZeRo}} and {{Sm|Salem}} 0-3 each.
**In addition, Nairo failed to win in every side events he participated.

*Salem, despite getting upset 1-2 by {{Sm|JK}} in pools, made an impressive losers run, defeating the likes of {{Sm|Mr.R}}, {{Sm|Tweek}}, {{Sm|KEN}}, {{Sm|Elegant}}, {{Sm|Ally}}, {{Sm|Nairo}} and {{Sm|MkLeo}} before losing to {{Sm|ZeRo}} in grand finals to place 2nd.
