'''FaZe Clan''' ('''FaZe''') is an American professional esports and entertainment organization. Originally founded in 2010 as '''FaZe Sniping''', the group started as a ''Call of Duty'' clan. They quickly rose to fame through their YouTube content, with their trickshots and gameplay compilations on ''Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2''. Their focus on entertainment set them apart from other clans at the time and allowed them to become one of the most popular clans early in the decade. FaZe entered in competitive esports in 2012 with ''Call of Duty'' and ''Counter Strike: Global Offensive'' rosters. Their main competitive and entertainment focus is shooter games, but they also started to branch out to other style of games such as ''FIFA'' or ''Rocket League'' in 2017. As of today, FaZe Clan is one of the richest and the most popular esports organisations in the world. More than 20 different celebrities from numerous backgrounds (musicians, music executives, basketball players, soccer players...) invested into FaZe Clan at some point. FaZe also became the first esports organization to be listed on NASDAQ after the merge of their public company FaZe Holdings Inc. with B. Riley Principal 150 Merger Corp.
