| Hmmm. Isn't the brawl home stage for only zelda, shiek, and link temple? I thought that stage for ganondorf is "bridge of eldin" while the stage for toon link is the pirate ship from wind waker. Should i delete it from there and add it to their respective stages? KoRo TeH BeAr 19:27, 1 May 2008 (UTC) | | Hmmm. | Yeah that's not judgmental or loaded at all. Why don't we alter it to "Banned because it forces the player to think in a different way and not do the same thing over and over on a handful of extremely similar maps". Yeah it's a fact it's banned, but frankly the tone of the section discussing it seems to be awfully biased in assuming automatically that this is a valid thing, acutally the entire section seems to focus more on trying to justify it then providing any useful information. It also seems to be like the only stage listed her that even goes into all this detail. | | Yeah that's not judgmental or loaded at all. | I agree that this section seems to be biased, and that section should be rewritten in a more neutral tone, but it does provide some useful information onto why Temple is banned. However, I like how this page goes into detail on why it is banned. I think that other pages should do the same, saying why they are placed in their respective categories. -<span style="color:green">Masq</span> <small>(t/c/e)</small> 14:25, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

| For consistency's sake, the name should certainly be "Temple". | :I picked consistency with "Mushroom Kingdom" and "Mushroom Kingdom II"; I believe "Hyrule Temple" is the more commonly-used name. The fact that Brawl uses the name "Temple" is kind of irrelevant, since the stage "belongs" to Melee, and we never changed Congo Jungle when Melee fixed its spelling. | ::It's about standardization, not common-use. Besides, it's clearly "Hyrule" as the location and "Temple" as the name of the stage in Melee. Brawl re-uses the name Temple, and the name also appears as the name of the stage's main song in Melee and Brawl, etc. <font color="dodgerblue"><span style="font-family:Comic Sans MS;">Miles <font color="silver">(<font color="silver">talk)</font></font></span></font> 06:37, 6 January 2012 (EST)

| :::I have to agree with Miles. If this were MarioWiki, then we'd have to go with Hyrule Temple, just as they use Queen Bee over Honey Queen, but as it's here, I say simply Temple. | :I agree with Toomai, tbh. If we're going to talk about standardization, Mushroom Kingdom and Mushroom Kingdom II are exceptions too, so why can't Hyrule Temple be one too? | ::Most stage names in Melee are laid out as "Location: Sublocation" - Termina: Great Bay is the stage Great Bay set in the region of Termina; Kanto: Pokemon Stadium is the stage Pokemon Stadium set in the region of Kanto. Similarly, this is Hyrule: Temple, the stage Temple set in the region of Hyrule. As for Mushroom: Kingdom and Mushroom: Kingdom II, it's clear that it's one continuous name across the location and sublocation lines, which is why they are distinct. This stage, however, is not. | ::::@Miles: I already understand how the stages in Melee are named. Hyrule: Temple is a continuous name across the location and sublocation as well, so I don't see the difference.
| |
| ::::@Toast: As Toomai already stated, the fact that it's called "Temple" in Brawl is irrelevant since the stage "belongs" to Melee. | :::::Yet Toomai, you chose this name because you find Hyrule Temple to be the more commonly-used name, but I wouldn't agree with even that much. Those who own Brawl but not Melee will not have seen the prefix Hyrule, and so they would only know the name Temple. I've seen stage legality lists for both Melee and Brawl on websites, and the ones I've seen use Temple rather than Hyrule Temple. For the consistency alongside the Mushroom Kingdoms, they have Mushroom Kingdom (SSB) to tie in with, but Temple doesn't. Hyrule Castle is not an example of this, as that area was known as Hyrule Castle in Ocarina of Time, but in Zelda II, Temples were known as Great Temples. Therefore, I still stand by Temple over Hyrule Temple.
