That the term "stock" refers to the collection of lives, not the lives themselves. I'm expecting to get a [[SW:OFFICIAL]] thrown at my face after posting this, but I found this extract from the Smash Bros. Dojo interesting:

So it would appear that the Smash Bros. Dojo follows RickTommy's wording. Now, by all means, throw [[SW:OFFICIAL]] at me because Smashers use incorrect terminology. The official terminology is no more correct in the Smash's community eyes, and your continued flagrant disregard of SW:OFFICIAL will continue to discredit your debating abilities (and if you have any future admin aspirations, it discredits your admin capabilities as well).
