:::It may be different with 3.0.0., but at lease prior the checkmarks only refer to Spirits you actively have in your inventory. If you dismissed, enhanced, or used some to summon, the ones used would not have a checkmark on the Spirit Board despite having obtained them before and having them listed in your collection. I feel there should be a list of Spirits that can only be obtained exclusively by the Spirit Board. The "complete list of Spirits" is currently being discussed to be deleted. We have pages for Spirits that are exclusive to Summoning, Shopping (WoL) and Enhancing, we are only missing the ones exclusive to the Spirit Board. (Aside from Shopping, WoL exclusives are Master and Boss Spirits, which also have their own pages). I propose splitting the page and creating a separate page dedicated for a list of spirit board events. At this rate, and if we were to assume that there will be many more events in the next few years or so, the section in question would become extremely crowded; therefore, splitting it away from this page would alleviate the problem. Also [[Spirit Board events without randomly appearing spirits|we have this page]] dedicated for spirit board events without randomly appearing spirits (as the title suggests), so why not have a list of spirit board events to complement the page? :I did a quick test with Tap-Tap/Proto Man (disadv) and Rabbid Kong/Geno (adv) against Ryo Sakazaki and I got (arguably) better rewards at a disadvantage (tried to minimize other factors by Inhaling and walking him off the edge with Kirby). The most common increase was more SP (60-300 for example), snacks seemed to fluctuate between more and less, and extra items (shield spacer, damage 50%, etc.) seemed to be higher. This was only 8 battles, so it may not be accurate. == Completing your collection ==

I have discovered that the Spirit Board has a mechanic to assist players with completing their collection. As of this post, there are about 1,450 spirits in the game, and today I just finished collecting every single Primary and Support spirit in the game. In so doing, I've come to realise that the board tends to prioritise spirits that the player does not have in their possession when it reloads its slots. While spirits that the player already has may appear alongside, I've noticed you are significantly more likely to encounter spirits you don't have rather than ones you do.

I just don't know to what degree. In my earlier edit I thought about adding that there's guaranteed to be at least one spirit that the player doesn't have, but that seemed like a bit of a stretch to me. Nonetheless, given how easily I have been able to dismiss a spirit and then later encounter it on the spirit board, between that and the total number of spirits that can appear on the board, it happens far too often to just be coincidental. There is one significant factor however: '''A higher ranked spirit will not be encountered as easily as a lower ranked one'''. So take from that what you will. :I could've sworn that was already noted somewhere but I guess not. I'm doing something similar with the Shop (collecting every spirit but only by purchasing) and I'm noticing a similar thing where I only get unobtained spirits even though I potentially have a 1/7 chance to get a duplicate.
:I think one way to test the odds would be to dismiss, let's say, 12 spirits (3 of each rank) and refresh the board a lot and note how many (if any) duplicates show up. Best to test when there isn't an event swaying the odds. ::Yes, this has been known about for some time. However, I'm afraid this isn't the kind of thing that reliable data can be obtained for by testing alone. I once did 1000 trials of Togepi to find the probabilities of each attack, and while I learned that Smokescreen is the only move with a different (lower) probability, I couldn't get the percentages to more than 1 significant figure. Needless to say, this would be even harder to test, given how many variables there are, some of which aren't even known yet.
