The moves are virtually the same. Heck, the description of the move on this page is extremely short, simply saying it's like Dancing Blade but with fire effects, and most of the writing probably belongs on a hypothetical moveset subpage. It's almost like splitting Rest into Melee and Brawl/Sm4sh pages. The only difference is that the moves have different English (not even Japanese) names in this case. :I get that it's significantly similar, but I wouldn't say it's the same as splitting the same move into two. If the two moves have different knockback, which I actually don't know if they do for myself, it'd make sense to split them. I'd say the fire and the hilt mechanic are almost enough to differentiate the two but differing knockback would seal the deal. I'll retract my oppose due to my ignorance of that. As the one who proposed this merge, I have no strong opinion one way or the other. This proposal was motivated by two main reasons:
*the Electroshock/Upperdash Arm merge. So yeah, consistency.
*the two moves having the exact same Japanese name, which means they are considered the same in the original version. If the English version had kept the same name for both, what would the general opinion be?
Then again:
*not every similar move is in the same page even across (semi)clones with similar customs (Luigi Cyclone and Dr. Tornado, for example, which even have comparable customs).
*I feel what is currently done with Silver Bow and Electroshock Arm (having a named subsection) is kind of clumsy, though it can be solved my some minor reorganization. -[[User:Menshay|Menshay]] ([[User talk:Menshay|talk]]) 10:19, 12 April 2016 (EDT)
