| :I think we have to say arcade for origin, since it's the origin of the character, not the origin of the incarnation of the character. Like how only OoT, WW, and TP versions of the Zelda crew appear in Smash Bros. (as playable), yet their origins are stated as NES. | :Smash pretty much conflates the "original" Donkey Kong (DKC Cranky) with the "modern" Donkey Kong (DKC onwards), and uses them interchangeably. We cover them on the same page just as our NIWA affiliates Mario Wiki and DK Wiki do. Smash does the same kind of thing with other characters, like equating NES/Wii Little Mac and the wireframe challenger from the arcade Punch-Out. There's no basis for removing content the way you're suggesting (and furthermore, please don't draft articles in the mainspace).
