Skyjay is well-known for his high-risk, high-reward playstyle, looking for many opportunities to KO his opponent as fast as possible. Once he has his opponent trapped in the corner, he uses [[Alolan Whip]] to catch his opponents jumping out or shielding. Skyjay also frequently uses [[Revenge]] when he knows his opponent will attack out of a disadvantage or approach predictably. He is also well known for instilling fear and nervousness in his opponents through his use of Revenge to have his opponents play more cautiously yet predicably.

As of 2025, this ban is currently not recognized by the [[Community Safety Resource Project]],<ref>[https://www.communitysafetyproject.org/restricted-player-register Restricted Player Register]</ref> meaning that Skyjay is technically allowed at most events.
