Peabnut's career began in ''Smash 4'', where he was considered one of the best {{SSB4|Mega Man}} players in the United States, despite infrequently traveling outside his region. His breakout event was at {{Trn|DreamHack Atlanta 2017}}, where he defeated {{Sm|falln}} to place 13th, before he followed it up by placing 33rd at {{Trn|Super Smash Con 2017}}, defeating {{Sm|NAKAT}}. However, he was best known for being invited to {{Trn|Smash 4 Boot Camp}}, where he was able to defeat both {{Sm|Elegant}} and {{Sm|MVD}}. With these results, he was ranked 85th on the [[OrionRank 2017]].

Peabnut was more involved in ''Ultimate'', especially after he began traveling more frequently in the post-pandemic metagame. Though regularly placing well and ranking globally prior, he is best known for his first major top 8 performance at {{Trn|Cirque Du CFL 3}}, marking one of the greatest Mega Man performances in the post-pandemic metagame up to that point. Since then, he has placed top 8 at several other majors, including being the runner-up at {{Trn|Let's Make BIG Moves 2026}} and being the first Mega Man player to win a major in the post-pandemic metagame at {{Trn|Luminosity Makes Moves Miami 2025}}. With these performances, he is considered the best Mega Man player in the post-pandemic metagame and one of the greatest of all time, alongside {{Sm|Kameme}}.
