Bethly is a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Shulk main from Wuhan, Hubei, China, considered the best player from Wuhan and one of the best players in China. Bethly has won several notable Chinese events such as Dian Bing 2, Liao Yuan, and Smash Dynasty 7 over several notable players from around China, including yooo, eric42, and MA. In addition, Bethly placed 2nd at Mountain Top 3, China's largest event to date, defeating Bomboozler and losing only to Yaura, and also placed 257th at Kagaribi 13, defeating SPARKLE along the way and becoming the first player from China to take a set over a globally-ranked player. Although not formally ranked, Bethly was recognized as the best player from China in 2023 by the LumiRank 2023.
