'''Panama''' is a ''Smash'' region that encompasses the [[wikipedia:Panama|country of the same name]]. It borders [[Costa Rica]] to the west and the [[South America]]n country [[Colombia]] to the south. 

Though historically an overlooked and underrepresented region, Panama's strength has improved significantly during the late 2010s and early 2020s, in part due to the rise of {{Sm|JCAM}} onto the global scene, especially after he won the {{Trn|SWT: Central America Melee Regional Finals}} over many of Mexico's best ''[[Melee]]'' players at that time and his sponsorship with {{Team|Melee Stats}}. Outside of JCAM, several other Panamanian players have seen great success outside their region, including {{Sm|AnDy}} and {{Sm|LumaKing}} in ''[[Ultimate]]''. Tournament activity in the region primarily takes place in Panama City and its metropolitan area.
