'''Northeast Mexico''' is a ''Smash'' region that consists of the Mexican states Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas. The region borders [[Texas]] to the North, the [[Northwest Mexico]] states Chihuahua and Durango to the west; the [[North Central Mexico]] states Zacatecas, San Luis Potosí and the [[East Mexico]] state Veracruz to the south.

It's considered one of the first notorious regions in the country in the early 2010's, with a few but strong players that competed in other countries, like {{Sm|JAVI}} and {{Sm|Aza}} in ''Melee'', and {{Sm|Waymas}} in ''Brawl''. However, the region has seen more representation during ''Smash 4'' and ''Ultimate''{{'}}s lifespan, with many strong players such as {{Sm|Rox}}, the best {{SSBU|Sheik}} player in the country, {{Sm|Meme}}, one of the best {{SSBU|Yoshi}} players in North America. {{Sm|Nery}}, one of the best-known {{SSBU|Isabelle}} players in the early metagame and one of the best in North America, {{Sm|Joker}}, one of the best {{SSBU|Samus}} players in the world in the early metagame, {{Sm|JaZaR}}, the best {{SSBU|Dr. Mario}} player in the world in 2023, and {{Sm|Many}}, the best {{SSBU|Steve}} player in the country.

Also, Northeast Mexico is home of the {{Trn|BIT MASTER MTY}}, the largest tournament series in the region, and one of the largest in the country in the early metagame, also notorious for {{Trn|Fortune Ferret}}, {{Trn|We Tec Those}} and {{Trn|Thunderstruck}}.
