I personally think there should be a soft ban on it, limiting it to only 3 consecutive Infinite chaingrabs. And nothing on all other Chaingrabs of the Iceclimbers' - Hatake91 (talk) 00:04, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Watch this. Make sure that you read the description. --Posted by Pikamander2 (Talk) at 03:56, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

I say let them have the chain grab but only for 1 K.O. per game Cree318TALK 14:02, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

In my opinion, chain grabs should stay. For some characters, like Marth, Falco, and the aforementioned IC's, the chain grab is a vital part of their meta games. Take chain grabs away from them, and they probably wouldn't be as good. - GalaxiaD (Happy Holidays!) 23:11, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
I just wish there weren't any of those n00bs who try to chain grab floaty characters like ROB and Jiggs, then get angry when they fail. Koopa Claus Happy Holidays 23:16, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
LOL, good point. - GalaxiaD (Happy Holidays!) 00:35, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
Oh, come on. If it wasn't for n00bs, who would everyone be laughing at? It's the people that don't know how to smash but smash anyways that put half the fun in the game (the other half is when you try to look super cool, fail miserably, and ending up being ridiculed as said aforementioned "n00b").--Meta-K (talk) 00:23, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
...? What was the point of that comment? Anyway, it's actually quite diffcult to tell how many times each specific character can be chain-grabbed, although I am unsure if this only applies to Falco. You see, I chain-grab frequently (although I haven't lately, because some users intentionally KO'd themselves because of it), and I usually see each character I've brawled get chained 5 times in a row. Fox, however, is an exception. According yo my experiences, you can only chaingrab him at least three times, because by the third, the opponent will have enough control of his character to change his trajectory, moving him too far to reach. MarioGalaxy Death has a price. I've paid it... 00:39, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

I can't say for the others, but the point of that comment on my part was solely to make pleasant and slightly irrelevant conversation. Anyways, as far as infinite chaingrabs go: if someone manages to hit me with ten Fsmashes in a row (guaranteeing a defeat with most characters), am I going to try to ban arguably the most used move in the game? Or, say, should we ban Counter if people use start to use it indefinitely, move after move? I know it's a bit of a drastic (and unrealistic) example, but I hope that the point is at least there. If you disagree with the infinite chaingrab, then don't get grabbed.--Meta-K (talk) 01:40, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Definitely do not ban it. While their smash attacks do great damage, they're less effective as finishers this time around. This chain-grab can rack up damage so that when KO times comes around, they can see how to finish off the oppponent.

I realize that this chaingrabbing business is extremely hard to do, hun, no matter how much skill you think you have. Between you and me, I can't do it at all in this game, though I can in a limited manner in Melee. Because of this really high difficulty, tournaments are allowing this, 'cause let's face it: the IC's would be literally bottom of the middle, if not low tier, if they weren't able to chain throw.
