When the player [[KO]]s an opponent, there is a short delay before the next opponent appears due to loading times. Only two opponents are fought at a time.

*Strangely, if the player is using the Pokemon Trainer and loses a life, the Pokemon can't be used again for the remainder of the match. For example, if you lose as Squirtle, then only Ivysaur and Charizard can be used.
