Just need to confirm on this. As Super Smash Bros. is a Nintendo-owned franchise, any non-Nintendo proprieties represented in Smash -like Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog- are third parties. Juju1995 (talk) 00:39, July 15, 2019 (EDT)
Minor third-parties having categories[edit]
Several current minor third-party companies such as Ubisoft and Marvelous Inc have their own categories here, so why is that? I thought that only applied to third-parties that have major representations in Smash, i.e., fighters and stages. Juju1995 (talk) 02:02, April 29, 2022 (EDT)
- So far, there's only TWO minor companies that have their own category, and those are the ones you just mentioned.
- Somebody created a category for Ubisoft, and though they didn't give much of an explanation for the creation, I assumed the reason was due to there being more than one Ubisoft property represented in Smash, so I thought it made sense to give Marvelous Inc. its own category.
- But yeah, this does seem like an iffy thing to have, and probably requires a consensus.
