'''Atlantic Canada''' is a ''Smash'' region that encompasses the [[Canada|Canadian]] provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. The Newfoundland scene is further divided into two sub-regions along the West and East coasts. The West Coast maintains its own [[Newfoundland (West Coast) Power Rankings|power ranking]] due to its isolation. While Labrador is part of the region, there is no known ''Smash'' community. Historically, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia have been the strongest sub-regions; however, each province has had its own successful players. While these regions are grouped together and do see some interregional play, the distance between the regions and the cost to fly between the regions has led to each scene being fairly distinct, with their own power rankings and top players. 

The region's scene began to develop in the middle of the 2000s, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. By 2005, the scene held semi-regular weeklies for ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]''. Halifax would be the center of the scene for the early years, with players like {{Sm|VIC}}, {{Sm|Pey}}, and {{Sm|Lamb}} dominating the results. The community saw significant growth in 2007, with the development of the first iteration of the [[Nova Scotia Power Rankings]] as well as its first major regional event in July 2007, a 32-person event called {{Trn|HellaSmashed}}. This would be the region's premier annual event until the tournament series [[Kings of Hali]] was started in 2016. 

The release of ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]'' would lead to players like {{Sm|Colin North}}, {{Sm|Raziek}}, {{Sm|BillyBeGood}}, {{Sm|Croi}}, and the previously mentioned Lamb dominating the scene. New Brunswick would see its scene start to develop in the late 2000's, with events largely being held in Moncton, with regular cross-play with Nova Scotia occurring by 2013. Newfoundland, by contrast, wouldn't begin to regularly interact with the other scenes until the start of the {{Trn|Storm}} tournament series. This series would notably host events in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. 

The Atlantic Canadian region would continue to see growth in ''Ultimate'', as well as the rise of new players such as {{Sm|Anarchy}} and {{Sm|Moo}}. That said, despite the scene seeing growth and movement towards each ''Smash'' game released, the ''Melee'' scene would not only survive, but eventually grow and lead to the development of two of the region's most well-known and successful players, regardless of game, {{Sm|Inky}} and {{Sm|Maher}}. The entrants in ''Melee'' also often rival ''Ultimate''.
