Zero Suit Samus is a playable character confirmed for Super Smash Bros. 4. Unlike in Brawl, she will be playable as a separate character from Samus, and no longer spawns upon performing the Zero Laser attack. She is now equipped with a pair of jet boots. Her aesthetic design, like her armored form, is mainly based on Metroid: Other M.

Confirmed information

  • She does not switch to Samus.
  • She wears jet boots, which buffs her jumps.
  • She now has abilities that help to balance her out, as she was originally made to be the opposite of Samus.
  • The following moves appear visually unchanged:
    • Forward tilt
    • Up tilt
    • Neutral aerial
    • Forward aerial
    • Back aerial
    • Down taunt
