:I still disagree with Pit's removal. Samus's last game was Super Metroid when the original Smash Bros. came out and she didn't get a new game until Metroid Prime and Fusion in 2002. The gap between Pit and ROB are both long and bigger than the Ice Climbers and they still count. --[[User:Pwwnd123|Pwwnd123]] ([[User talk:Pwwnd123#top|talk]]) 22:50, January 6, 2021 (EST)

You seem to be under the idea that the trivia is about how long a character took to appear in Smash after their last appearance in their home series, when it's actually about the record of who held it the longest.

Yes, the gap between Pit's last home series appearance and Smash fighter debut was long, but that doesn't change the fact that R.O.B. still has a longer gap than him. Even if you use the argument that Pit was revealed before R.O.B., keep in mind that Pit was revealed in 2006, only 15 years after Of Myths and Monsters released, and at that point, we weren't exactly sure when Brawl was gonna release.

Even if R.O.B. wasn't in Brawl, Pit technically still would've have taken the record anyway. Brawl came out after Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters at 16 years and two months (November 1991 vs. January 2008), compare that to the Ice Climbers' gap between their home game and their debut in Melee at 16 years and ten months (January 1985 vs. November 2001).

So yeah, I hope you understand my reason for why adding Pit to that trivia was completely unnecessary. SmashTurtlesSig1.pngSuperSmashTurtles of the Turtle TribeSmashTurtlesSig2.png 15:14, January 2, 2021 (EST)
