Tournament:ZEST

ZEST is a Smash tournament held in the Netherlands.

It's held in Zoetermeer, Zuid-Holland, The Netherlands. This is located next to Den Haag (The Hague). ZEST stands for Zoetermeer Elimination Smash Tournament. There has been 2 "zests" so far. The first one in October 2006, and the second one in April 2007. There has already been plannes for ZEST 3, which will likely be held at November 10th.

Although the first ZEST was a 2-day tournament, former zests are and most likely will be a 1-day tournament. It has always been (with the exception of the 2nd day of ZEST1) at the same location: De Patio Buurtruimte "De Patio" Gaardedreef 189 2723 AZ Zoetermeer The Netherlands

The official orginizer of the zests is Exalador (Stephan), with help from NGCXX (Coen) Zests are international 64-man tournaments (although most are dutch).

The singles consists of poules with a 16-man or 32-man elimination. And the Doubles is also done by poules, but only a 16-team (or even 8-team) elimination.

If there is time left, there will be a low-tier. Last zest (ZEST2) there were over 12 TV's/Cube's.

Nearby is are 2 grosserieshops (2-5 minute walk, depending on your lazyness), a baker, a snackbar, a flowershop, and some other things. You can also get something to eat or something to drink at the bar inside in venue (at a price).
