ZEST is a Smash tournament held in the Netherlands.

It's held in Zoetermeer, Zuid-Holland, The Netherlands. This is located next to Den Haag (The Hague). ZEST stands for Zoetermeer Extreme Smash Tournament. There have been 2 "zests" so far. The first one in October 2006, and the second one in April 2007. There has already been plans for ZEST 3, which will likely be held at November 10th 2007.

Although the first ZEST was a 2-day tournament, other zests are and most likely will be a 1-day tournament. It has always been (with the exception of the 2nd day of ZEST1) at the same location: De Patio Buurtruimte "De Patio" Gaardedreef 189 2723 AZ Zoetermeer The Netherlands

The official host of the Zest tournaments is Exalador (Stephan), with help from NGCXX (Coen) Zests are international 64-man tournaments (although most are dutch).

The singles tournament consists of poules followed by a 32-man (24 players + 8 'byes') double elimination bracket. The team tournament is done by double elimination.

If there is time left, a low-tier will also be played, so far this has only been the case at ZEST1 (because of the 2nd day) as well as a crew tournament.

The venue has a convenient location, with two grocery stores and a bakery within 5 minutes from the venue, as well as a bar inside the venue with food and drinks against pretty good prices.
