The Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018 is an upcoming invitational tournament being held by Nintendo at E3 2018, taking place on the night of June 12th, 2018. The tournament was announced on March 22nd, 2018 via Nintendo's YouTube channel. Much like Super Smash Bros. 4, the upcoming Nintendo Switch installment will be showcased prior to its release at this tournament. The tournament will be occurring following the conclusion of the Splatoon 2 World Championship.
Players
According to Nintendo's E3 website and a post from their What's New blog, top players from across the globe will be participating. No one has been confirmed to be attending yet.

- The logo featured on Nintendo's E3 website is unusually titled "logo FINAL?".
- This could be related to the fact that Super Smash Bros. is stated to be the game’s tentative title.
