2GG: Breakthrough was an Arcadian tournament held by Champ at the eSports Arena center in Santa Ana, California on August 27th, 2016. Being an Arcadian tournament, only players not featured in regional power rankings were allowed to participate. It was the largest one-day Smash tournament ever, before being surpassed by 2GGT: Abadango Saga a few weeks later. It still holds the record for being the largest Arcadian tournament of all time across all Smash games.
