| '''Tortimer''' is a character appearing in the [[Animal Crossing (universe)|Animal Crossing series]]. He assumes the role of mayor and is the "boss" of the town. He is an old, withered turtle, wearing glasses, a top hat and a long white beard, who talks to the player during special holidays and events, and for this reason is very rarely seen. He laughs with a suggested wheeze and often reflects on his past. He can be seen sleeping at a desk in the town hall on non-event days. The villagers hold many suspiscions about him and his supposed alter-ego Cornimer, who appears in the Acorn Festival.

| Tortimer, and his "other self", the elusive Cornimer, appear in the background of the [[Smashville]] stage as stage elements. They watch the fighters battle as would the other characters. Mayor Tortimer also appears as a trophy and Cornimer as a collectible sticker.
