Rather than this bloated behemoth of a template (>1MB), wouldn't it be more practical to have each character's list on a subpage? For instance, Villager's changelist would be at [[Template:SSB4 to SSBU changelist/Villager]] rather than nestled somewhere in the belly of a vast <nowiki>{{#switch}}</nowiki> statement. This would make editing the lists much easier, particularly on mobile (where currently it's all but impossible). Split into subpages
