Some players believe DBR pre-planned the combos in their video. Many newer players believed that the combos done in their videos could not actually be done. This, however, is not the case and most Smashers will attest that their combos are from real matches. how about their group name
Some critics believe they have the shittiest clan name of all time, in any game.

Death By Rape, more commonly known as DBR, is a Concord, California Smash crew famous for their combo videos. They are most commonly regarded as the most highly skilled crew in the NorCal region. They are also famous for hosting one of the largest smash tournaments of all time, Genesis.

Fame

DBR launched into the public eye after releasing a series of combo videos. Though they were released individually (by such titles as Shined Blind, Overdose, and The Hylian Nightmare), people eventually began to speak of them collectively, as the "DBR videos." For a while their videos were in high demand at GameFAQs and SmashBoards, and DBR became idols to many newcomers. This admiration caught some backlash from players who believed DBR members were overhyped and not truly very good.
