i got young link with out beating classic or adventure with link. but i do have what i think might be the reason why. something terrible happened and i lost my melee data (283 tropys and a sound test gone!) yesterday. so me and a friend were trying to get it all back this mourning. the first thing i did was clear events until i got ganondorf (the ''first'' thing i did. didnt even get jigglepuff). i commpleted it with him and zelda and ten others but didnt complete it with link and still young link challanged me. so i dont think it has to be link and zelda. i think it can be any two zelda characters.
