Boy, Nintendo really screwed up accidentally confirming 3 characters to appear in Brawl, huh? I knew Ness and Jigglypuff were in, but Lucario is incredible! How could Nintendo not notice this? I'm not complaining, though, because we now have 28 characters confirmed to appear in Brawl. DevonS 16:15, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

OK, so what is the actual name of Lucario's final smash? Is it Psybeam or Hyper Beam? We have conflicting information here that needs to be resolved. JoePlay (talk) 17:51, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Well, at this point im about 70% sure that Lucario's Final Smash is actually called Flash Cannon. Hyper Beam appears more as an orange color, while Flash Cannon is consistant of a white/blue color, the color that shows up in his Final Smash. On top of that, according to the National Pokédex Book for Diamond/Pearl, Lucario cannot learn Psybeam, and moves called Aurastorm and Aura Beam do NOT exist. However, Lucario can learn Flash Cannon and Hyper Beam. Also, if the Final Smash was called Hyper Beam, it would make a bit more sense that it would act like it does in the Pokémon video game, and exhaust Lucario for a time period. Besides that, Hyper Beam is a generic move that can be learned by most Pokémon.

All of this is my own opinion, based of my preexisting knowledge of the Pokémon anime series and video game franchise. For all I know, I could be wrong. I'd recommend that we refrain from putting anything down as Lucario's Final Smash until Lucario is posted on the Smash Bros. DOJO!!, from making us look foolish.

OK. I'm starting to get a little pissed here. I stated DIRECTLY BELOW the special moves template that "The special moves posted have NOT been officially confirmed. Until Lucario is announced on the Smash Bros. website, please do NOT alter Lucario's special moves template in ANY way" and anonymous users keep changing them. If an administrator sees this, can you please semi-protect Lucario's page to stop this?

I agree that pages like this should not exist; as a Smash Bros. Wiki, the site should only cover characters and properties that have appeared or at least even mentioned thus far in the Smash Bros. series. While Lucario may possibly be a new playable character, it has not been seen anywhere in Smashdom yet, so it gets no article. What I do think, however, is that every single little thing that has appeared in Smash Bros. games should be covered. I think every one of the 30 F-Zero X racers should get their own articles (though a merged article might be preferred, but I can't be positive) because all of their racing machines have appeared in both Melee stages and trophies, while there are actually a lot of other species of Pokemon that have been seen in Smash Bros. but aren't famous because they don't come out of Poke Balls; examples of these include the Geodude and Seel balloons in Poke-Floats, and in Melee's opening FMV a lot of otherwise unseen Pokemon such as Gligar, Slowbro, and Krabby are seen. Because each of these Pokemon are officially recognized video game characters who have made some sort of appearance in a Smash Bros. game, each of these should get their own articles IMO. Likewise, since Lucario has not appeared once in a Smash Bros. game yet, it should not have its own page, but if it does make an appearance later, it will have its own page.

Yes this is exactly the way it is now. If the wiki had more people helping we whould probably have all those articles. Although merging whould be the best way such as all the floats on the actual stages page. CircleTakesTheSquare 22:55, May 5, 2007 (GMT)

Gender References

I suppose it is good to be consistent, and I won't edit the articles, but I really think this Lucario to be male. His "voice" is masculine (not just voice ACTOR, mind you, as Pikachu, widely considered to be male, is voiced by a woman, as well as Ash himself, among others), and even the Cresselia trophy, which mentions they are always female, still refuses to use gender-specific pronouns, so you can't really judge by that. Plus most Pokemon trophies are about the species in general, not a specific member. - Gargomon251 07:16, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

About as feminine as Pikachu's. We're not talking Gardevoir here. Jigglypuff's voice is too high...or something...to really be sure. Maybe it's the timbre or some term, but it just doesn't sound like a normal person so it's hard to judge. Compare Munchlax.
