DOJO reveals new information
Okay, we need a lot of help here. I'll see if I can import some pages.
I have added the information to the article myself. Here is the source link: www.smashbros.com/en_us/gamemode/modea/modea17. html

:::I say we need to rehash the article completely. It's just a basic summary of the plot as it has appeared on DOJO!! (and we all know that depending on how you play, the plot can be different) and a list of the updates pertaining to The Subspace Emissary. What we really need to do is:
*Add things to it that we learned and saw at E for All.
*Set up the plot description as a "list" of the possibilities, as opposed to only explaining the plot as DOJO!! has shown it.
*Set up a list of bosses/enemies.
*Explain the whole plot as a whole (e.g. The Subspace Army's intentions).

These are just my two cents on how this article needs to be rewritten. Comment, if you will. Teamrocketspy621 19:43, November 23, 2007 (EST)

:So you are saying that we should make a plot of the already revealed (and write in this article) DOJO! and a separate plot section with the footage we saw in E4A?(thanks for answering me I was just to talk to myself again) --Fandangox 20:21, November 23, 2007 (EST)
::I suggest we simply put that together. I can try to whip something up as a beta, but don't expect it too soon. Teamrocketspy621 20:39, November 23, 2007 (EST)
:::I was trying to edit and I had Just ge this: "==Plot's developent==
The Subspace emissary plot begins with (SSBB) and (SSBB) fighting in a stadium, with (SSBB) and [[Zelda|(SSBB) as spectators, as the math finish the two combatants taunt to their public, suddenly the Halberd apears aconppanied with a dark purple cloud-like atmosphere, the halberd send down to the stadium little dark spheres..."

I think that the plot section needs more "Wikifiying", meaning it needs more links. Here's my proposal: At the mention of each new character (when their name appears onscreen), we should have a link to their article. For example, the first time that Captain Falcon is mentioned in the plot, we put "Captain Falcon then comes and..." Also, there are some minor to serious issues with grammar and spelling in this summary. I can fix that when I get a chance. Lastly, the plot summary is not complete. If you go to this page, you can view the entire game. Dogman15 00:18, February 12, 2008 (EST)

Problem
It seems that this article assumes that Kirby can be blasted off into the sky to meet Pit while Mario can stay and rescue a princess. I realize that whole idea is based squarely on an old 2-second clip of Mario fighting Petey Piranha. But from what I've seen from various players, Mario is shot into the sky to team up with Pit no matter what you do, and Kirby always must rescue a princess (again, no matter what you do). So that would render a lot of info in this article incorrect.

Unless someone can provide evidence that Kirby can, in fact, team up with Pit in the beginning, I'll drop my argument, but I am convinced it cannot be done. <font face="Times New Roman"><span style="color: #800040;">Thou Hath No Honor</span></font> 22:06, February 8, 2008 (EST)

Well lets see, now depending on how many scenes would be affected if Kirby and Mario were switched, it might help determine whether you can have Kirby meet Pit, and Mario keeps with the Princess. After all, the more scenes that would be affected, the more data that is needed to make those scenes. So if too much data would be used, then the chance that they could be switched is very low. :That's just the problem, they aren't divided into chapters in-game. Whoever wrote the plot synopsis arbitrarily defined where one chapter ends and the next begins. It's okay for organization, but a little presumptive. Something should probably be done. <font face="Times New Roman"><span style="color: #800040;">Thou Hath No Honor</span></font> 08:20, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Yes you're right. However, I think we can all agree that Tabuu defeating all the heroes is the ending of chapter, and Dedede and his companions waking up in his wrecked castle is the start of another. There are certain scenes that give a conclusive feel, like Lucas and Pokemon Trainer shaking hands after the battle with Galleom.<span style="color:green">Toon</span> <span style="color:purple">Ganondorf</span><small><span style="color:Gold">TALK</span></small>

Cleanup[edit]

There is currently a cleanup tag for this page saying that it needs to be written like more informational than a storybook. I'd like to know how we can incorporate factual information. And besides, we should have a summary of the plot somewhere on this wiki. Ac2k 20:36, 6 March 2013 (EST)

Storybook refers to unnecessary details such as pointless character descriptions and plot descriptions. There is a difference between "Jack and Jill went to the farm" and "Jack, a young boy, and Jill, a young girl, went to the farm, which was away from the rest of the world." We would want to strive for the second one, but this is a Wiki, so if you wanted to know what Jack looked like, you'd click on the link to his page. In a similar fashion, if you wanted to know who Kirby was, you could click on his article. Long story short, remove unnecessary details if you see any more of it. A year later...

I just want to say I added cleanup . Most readers, especially those of SmashWiki, are hardly going to sit through 20+ paragraphs of exposition. And the section is also poorly written. Some examples:

 • "Inside the Halberd, out of a cardboard box disguise emerges Snake, who had infiltrated the Halberd much earlier for the probable reason that he is trying to combat the menace of the Subspace Army in their own battleship in his own way."
 • "The Minister defiantly stands in the way of his brethren to stop them, but Ganondorf manually controls the enslaved R.O.B.s and have them shoot their former 'master', setting his cloak aflame."
 • "Marth races to investigate whatever destructive plot is transpiring, but his fortress is besieged by the Subspace Army, forcing him to fight his way through repeated swarms of enemies until he gets to the grounds outside of the fortress."
 • "Back in Skyworld, Pit helplessly watches as the Midair Stadium is consumed by the Subspace explosion. Just then, he is summoned by Palutena, who grants him the task of combating the Subspace menace and liberating the world."
 • "On the Isle of Ancients, Samus is seen in her Zero Suit due to losing her Power Suit, and has infiltrated the floating island through a ventilator shaft and is now sneaking her way into the research facility areas, battling and defeating R.O.B. Squad minions along the way."
 • " Indeed, the original purpose of the detonation of so many Subspace Bombs was to open a rift between realms physically large enough to allow the Subspace Gunship through, while discarding the Subspace Bomb Factory at the Isle of Ancients in the process, as there would have been no further use for the factory once the Gunship enters the world."
 • "This victory has not been without a heavy price, though: the sheer number of Subspace Bombs involved in the explosion that consumed the Isle of Ancients has prevented that area of space from ever returning to normal despite Subspace having been completely removed, so the Isle is gone forever, and an X-shaped mark of light remains in its place. As of now, R.O.B. will remain the last of his kind."
