Vyse is a smasher who mains Falco. He is the team captain of The Ward, and one of the crew's better players.
Background
He has consistently placed 7th in all of Queensland's major tournaments. Apart of the high level playing scene since 2006, he along with fellow crew mate 'K-0S' decided on the name 'The Ward' as orignally both Vyse and K-0S mained the character 'Doctor Mario'. He later switched to maining Falco, impressed with the concept of pressuring opponents with the SHL and has established himself as one of Queensland's leading Falco authorities, along with Accelerate and Sloth.
Since the formation of The Ward, Vyse has appeared at every major tournament as its team captain, sharing a competitive, inter-city rivalry with Brisbane's TECH TEAM. Late in 2007, Vyse began to main Sheik alongside Falco.
Vyse is also regular entrant in the 'Write With Your Power' competition on SmashBoards. He recently placed 1st in the eighth iteration of the competition with his story 'Spider Webs'.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
In Brawl, Vyse has dropped his previous mains, becoming one of the only Diddy Kong Mains in Queensland. Originally playing Dedede, Vyse took a liking to Diddy Kong not long after obtaining the game.
Recent Activity
Throughout 2008, Vyse has made several contributions to the competitive smash community. These include his threads relating to Diddy Kong on the Smash World Forums'[1] Diddy Kong Subforums, as well as taking over the role of thread keeper for smashboards.com's 'The Comprehensive Guide to AT's, Discoveries and Glitches'.
As well as this, he has taken a more active role in the Australian smash community, holding a national tournament entitled 'Queensland Brawl Buddies' which is to host both Brawl and Melee events, set for the 27th of September.
Trivia
- Vyse has placed 7th consecutively in the majority of Queensland's state Melee tournaments
- A favourite saying of his crew 'The Ward' is 'Flammage is not a recovery move'. This was in reference to Sieg's claims at one point in time that Samus' Forward aerial in Melee could be used as a means of attacking whilst recovering
- A favourite saying 'Doc would've made it' is a saying that fellow crew mate Scrubs often says.
