Pugwest is a Marth main in SSB4, and is regarded as one of the best Marth players in the world, as well as one of the of the best doubles players. He is currently ranked 2nd on the New England Smash 4 Power Rankings. His Marth is considered "unique" to his peers as he plays the current meta with a slow and patient style.
He frequently teams with his brother Marss, and both have dominated the doubles scene in New England, being referred to as "Team Yazi", the Doubles Kings of New England. Although Pugwest doesn't gain the same attention Marss does, he is respected by those who have played against him. Marss and Pugwest defeated Nairo and ZeRo in doubles at GENESIS 3 when it came down to a nail-biting one on one with Pugwest and ZeRo, with Pugwest clutching it out in a last hit situation.
