HIKARU is a smasher from Japan who mains Donkey Kong. He is widely considered to be the best Donkey Kong in Japan, having taken sets off players such as Earth, Taiheita, Nasubi, and falln. He is currently ranked 12th on the Umebura Smash 4 Power Rankings.
HIKARU was confirmed for EVO 2016 after Nairo's community funding project raised enough money to send multiple Japanese smashers such as Komorikiri, Kirihara, and KEN to the tournament. This was his first tournament outside of Japan and placed 33rd in singles.
