Metroid (メトロイド, Metoroido) is the first game in the Metroid series of video games. It was released first for the Famicom Disk System on August 6, 1986, and later for the Nintendo Entertainment System in August 1987 (North America) and on January 15, 1988 (Europe).

Super Smash Bros. series

Samus Aran, the game's main character ans silent protaganist, is and will be a playable character in all three Super Smash Bros. games. Also, the theme for "Brinstar" can be heard on the Planet Zebes stage in Super Smash Bros. and on the Brinstar stage for Super Smash Bros. Melee. In addition, the theme for the area "Kraid" is remixed in the stage, Brinstar Depths.
