The Mario Finale is Mario's Final Smash attack. It consists of a massive, flaming vortex, which hits many times. It expands vertically as it moves away from Mario. Dojo!! suggests to move to one side of the level and use it while in mid-air. Each time a freball hits an opponent (which is multiple times most of the time) it does 4-8% damage, depending on if the opponent only got hit a skim, or took the full blunt of the attack.

Origin

The most likely source of inspiration for the Mario Finale is Mario's Ultra Flame attack from the SNES game Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Like the Mario Finale, the Ultra Flame has Mario fire off a barrage of giant fireballs that damage all foes on the screen.

Trophy Desription

Mario with a Smash Ball, unleashing his ultimate attack. The twin dragons of flame he releases wallop all characters in range. The flames spread up and down, so it's best to release them from the edge of the screen at an appropriate height. His flaming eyes are proof of his excitement for this explosive attack.
