The Super Smash Brothers commercial was a commercial aired in 1999 at the release of the game Smash Bros (64) It used a live action setting and people in suits to represent the characters. It made use of the music, "Happy Together".

Plot

Yoshi, Mario, Donkey Kong, and Pikachu are walking in a grassy field while the music "Happy Together" plays in the background. After a few seconds, Mario kicks Yoshi, which is accompanied by a record scratching in the background. This turns into an all-out brawl, with the characters punching and kicking each other. The announcer starts talking about the game along with video footage of the game. The camera settles on Mario hitting Donkey Kong with a hammer as the final live action scene. The announcer uses the N64 slogan, "Get N or get out", and the commercial ends.

Production

This commercial makes use of live action scenes, consisting of people portraying Nintendo characters in costumes. This commercial uses minimal special effects, such as the birds that swirl around DK's head when he gets hit with a hammer. This commercial wasd released in 1999.
