| Hoppip is a small reddish creature with two green plant sprouts growing out of its head. The Pokédex in the games state its body is extremely light, enough that the gentlest of breezes causes it to drift and float with the wind - this it enjoys, and upon a gentle breeze it may even float all the way to the next town. But for slightly stronger winds, it must grip the ground firmly with its feet to keep from being blown away, and if it senses the approach of very strong winds, groups of Hoppip link their leaves with each other and grip the ground all together with their feet to avoid being blown away. It is said that when Hoppip gather in fields and mountains, spring is on the way.
